PRESS RELEASE

March 17, 2009 - Mayor Raymond Eppinger announced today that he will be presenting
a budget to the Borough Council tomorrow evening that calls for no municipal tax increase.
The budget maintains all services at current levels and anticipates no staff reductions.

"Even with cuts in state aid and these uncertain times, this administration continues to fulfill
its promise to restore fiscal order to the Borough", Eppinger stated.

He continued, "Due to the hard work and forward thinking of our Borough professionals, lead
by Business Administrator Andrew Salerno, we are able to present this forward-looking budget
for introduction.

"Special thanks to all of the members of the 2008 Borough Council; they made tough decisions
last year that put South River on firm footing and allowed this plan to move forward in 2009",
Eppinger concluded.

The budget introduction will take place Wednesday the 18th at 7:00pm at the Criminal Justice
Building on Main Street in South River.
