Who We Are

The South River Republican Organization is a political organization representing citizens in the Borough of South River, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey who share our ideals and beliefs.

The South River Republican Organization and it's members are committed to making south River's government work for the people of South River. By using funds wisely and exploring all alternatives, we will avoid being "penny wise and dollar foolish".

We are residents, taxpayers and business owners. We are your neighbors and we are here for you.

If you believe as we do, please join us to make South River a better place to live and work. The South River Republican Organization does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion, sexual orientation or income.

The South River Republican Organization is affiliated with the Middlesex County Republican Organization and through our elected committee persons, we are voting members.

Republican Principles

I am a Republican because:

I believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I believe that free enterprise and the encouragement of individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I believe government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I believe the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.

I believe the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

I believe Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I believe Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

Finally, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

John Krenzel, Chairman
John has been Chairman of the SRGOP since 2001. Prior to that he was Vice Chairman and Treasurer. He has been an elected member of the Borough Council and Borough Council President, as well as Committeeman for 7th District. John is running for election to the South River Borough Council in 2009.


Suzanne Buffalino, Vice Chairwoman
Suzanne was previously Secretary for the SRGOP. She was an appointed member of the Borough Council in 2008. Suzanne is also committeewoman for the 14th District and past Committeewoman for the 2nd District.


Michael Clancy, Treasurer
Mike has been Treasurer of the SRGOP since 2001.


Rick Rosenberg, Secretary
Rick was previously Secretary for the SRGOP in 2006 and resumes the position for 2009. He is a current member of the South River Board of Education and serves as Committeeman for the 5th District.
