MAYOR ANNOUNCES NEW SAFETY INITATIVE
Mayor Raymond Eppinger announced a new safety program called Signs & Lines for Safety.
Due to years of neglect, the Borough has seen numerous street signs disappear and painted street lines and markers fade with time. Through the coordination of the Department of Public Works and the Business Administrator, Andrew Salerno, streets signs are being replaced and the repainting of lines and markers throughout the entire Borough will now begin.
“For too long street signs and lines were not maintained; it is a safety hazard that we are now going to address”, Eppinger said. “We are going to cover the entire Borough and use our workers to get the job done”, he continued.
Eppinger concluded, “This is just another quality of life issue this administration is committed to addressing; cross walks, No Parking, Fire Hydrant markers and street signs are part of our overall goal to improve the safety of our residents.
